For those of us with kids, we know that 'school holidays' are anything but a holiday for the family at home. Sure, the kids don't have to go to school, but that doesn't mean you're headed to Bali.
It often means something much more mundane: finding ways to keep your kids occupied, interested, busy, off screens (occasionally), doing fun safe stuff and keeping out of trouble (and out of your way).
What does all of this mean for you and your home? Umm....
It doesn't have to be like this.
This week let's focus on "light", a core value of Chateau De Glass, particularly relevant to kids and the home environment.
Light can mean many things to many people but let's choose to interpret it, for the sake of our sanity, as feeling light, feeling open to the ideas and energy young people have and how we can make our house more open and a home for their inspiration, for them (and us) to be inspired by.

Of course, what's fun to some young people might not be fun for everyone. But what might we include in our homes for children (and for us) to be inspired by? What could help to create an environment which allows young people to move seamlessly between inspiration and action, between their ideas and making their ideas happen?
Objects, signs, art, ambience. Look around and create your home-style wonderland to build cubbies, ignite imaginations and create the world you wish existed.
School holidays can be chaos. But can also be a time for connection and creativity; for fun and play and growth, both in the garden and indoors.
Whether you have kids or not, whether school holidays mean anything to you or not. That's not the point. The point is that our house can be a home of positive energy, to help fill our cups rather than deplete them.
This week, Chateau De Glass wants to be inspired by you. Show us your home, and the things in your home that inspire you, excite you, make you feel light and open, ignite your energy and creativity, bring out the best in you and help you to feel alive, connected and growing in a positive direction.
